QUALIFICATIONS BHS AI DIP SPORTS PHSY CERTIFIED RWYMTM COACH BACKGROUNDUnusually for a person who has made a career with horses, Ali only started to ride at the age of 18. She has trained and qualified as an A.I. at a riding school in Norfolk, which was also a boarding school for dyslexic children. It was here that she developed a keen interest in how people learn and that learning a task can be made easier and quicker if the teacher can adapt her teaching to the needs of the pupil. Once qualified, Ali remained at the riding school for 6 years as yard manager. During this time, the establishment owner sent her on a week long course with MARY WANLESS (author of several books and a world renowned rider biomechanics coach). This course impressed on Ali how riding could be taught in a completely different way, achieving quicker and more accurate results than conventional methods. Ali has now been training with Mary Wanless for almost 20 years and teaches on RWYM courses organised at Mary's home base in Oxfordshire (Overdale E.C.).During 2008 Ali discovered the work of Andrew Maclean(australian equitation scientist). She has found that when incorporating this into the RWYM system of coaching a whole new level of horse/rider training can be achieved! To date Ali is the only qualified coach who is teaching the exciting combination of these 2 science based systems. Ali aims to: make learning a positive, enjoyable and efficient processmake riding coaching available to as broad a range of people as possiblecontinue development of personal skills as both coach and rider Ali is based at WOODHALL STABLES,Cambridgeshire, from where she runs RWYMTM clinics, lessons and liveries.
