These clinics are an excellent way of making quick,effective progress in your riding.
You are advised to book early as all clinics are limited to 6 participants and have been fully booked over the past few years!

ONE DAY CLINICS
29th January-body awareness and physiotherapy for the rider
Coaches-Ali wakelin and charlotte meredith
A great way to start your 2012 training.Dont worry about the weather as the whole day will take place in the heated classroom ! The day will start at 10am with coffee followed by a talk by charlotte on the use of rider physiotherapy alongside riding coaching. Charlotte graduated from Kings college,London as a chartered physiotherapist in june 2011 and has a particular interest in sport injuries.She is also an experienced coach in the horse/rider training system used by Ali which gives her a unique set of skills.Ali and Charlotte will then give a joint session on the use of various dismounted exercises to improve rider body awareness.
After Lunch each participant will have an individual private session with Charlotte to develop a programme of exercises to improve their flexibility and address any injuries.During the afternoon their will also be a chance to use the WI-FIT and use the gymballs and other equipmen at brook.
The day will end at approx 4pm

18TH FEBRUARY- Groundwork and Clicker training clinic

This day is suitable as either an introduction to ALI'S training system or for people/horses who already have experience of Ali's training methods.
The clinic will give participants the chance to revise/ learn basic groundwork/clicker skills as well as the opportunity to progress on to higher level skills such as lateral work and collection.
The day will also cover "mounting issues" and the technique of "overshadowing"
which is a very powerful tool used for dealing with issues such as clipping,shoeing and vet phoebias.
Day will consist of 2 practical sessions,theory session and lunch.10AM Start.Approx 4pm fininsh

24TH MARCH -SPOOK CLINIC

This clinic will show you how to both deal and train 'spooking issues ' on the ground and under saddle using Ali's unique training system.
The day is suitable for both young and experienced horses and riders and will consist of a theory session,2 training sessions and lunch.

28th April-DRESSAGE TEST CLINIC

Dressage Judge-lesley hewitt
This is a great way to either try a dressage test for the first time (or maybe try a higher level than you would normally compete at!) or to concentrate on your test riding technique.The day will consist of 2 private lessons(one with Ali and one with the dressage judge) Then after lunch and workshop(where we will watch the videos from your morning lessons and get feedback from the judge) you will ride your dressage test in from of the judge.The day will finish in the classroom where the judge will return your test sheets and answer all your questions.
Day limited to 6 participants.

26th May-Poles and gridwork clinic

The day is suitable as either an introduction to poles and(maybe!) jumping or as a chance to progress your polework/jump training.Ali's unique training system is proven in training calm,reliable jumping horses and positive,happy jumping riders as well as retraining various jumping issues such as refusing and rushing
The day will consist of a 45min private lesson with Ali,classroom session (video review of am lessons,dismounted jumping exercises and advice on buiding grids at home),lunch and afternoon group ridden session.

24th JUNE-LATERAL WORK CLINIC

This day is suitable either as a introduction to Lateral work for horse/rider or as an opportunity to progress to more advanced lateral movements.
The day will include both ground and ridden work and will consist of a 45min private lesson,classroom session (video feedback from am lessons and Q and A )lunch and group ridden session.

25TH AUGUST - flatwork clinic

This day is suitable for all levels of horse and rider as each participant can choose the theme of their lesson. The day will include an individual 45 min private lesson,group ridden session,video feedback session and lunch.

22nd SEPTEMBER-JUMPING CLINIC

This day is suitable for riders/horses with some jumping experience and will include both gridwork and course jumping.The day will include an individual 45 min lesson,group ridden session,video feedback session and lunch.
Ali's training system is proven to produce/retrain calm,reliable jumping horses.
